Operation over!

Recovery a little prolonged. The bowel is fixed and will be useable in a few days. No food or water for what seems like a long time. But those liquids and good nutrition will be ever so welcome when they come.

I have lots of support here and the right combination of being by myself so I can rest and some family coming by so I can hear the news.

Next Wednesday seem like a probable day for release and I feel I will be ready for it. I am already sitting up and going for laps around the floor.

Much love and thanks for all the prayers and thoughts coming from you, my wonderful friends.

Love,
Mary

Hi Mary,

I wonder how you are doing today. I was thinking about Sloan Kettering and remembered I used to go visit Namkhai Norbu, the famous Tibetan Dzochen master, there when he had cancer. We would have a short chat and then sit in silence together. He had a presence as powerful and formidable as Mt. Everest...I'm sure his karmic imprint is still there. Maybe you even have his room! (He recovered and is fine.)

Much, much love,
Barbara

Dearest Mary,

I'm so glad all went well and you're back on track, recovering.
I thought of you while I was in Italy (my 1st teaching yoga vacation--with our Anastasia--It was wonderful!), all I've learned from you as a teacher and more! I'm so greatful to you, for having you in my life.
I know the best of my teaching results from having you as my teacher all these years. I look forward to many more.
Hope to see you soon.

Much love,
norma

Dear Mary,
I know how much it can mean realizing so many are utterly and convincingly staying with you. Blessed am I to be amongst them.

I'm convinced the "staying with" arises from within the richness of each of us, in you. That 'grown to' experience in knowing you, and also importantly what you've persistently taught us in all the ways. You've stayed and always will stay with me since my first Iyengar day--never can over say that. There's simply something about you makes me want to be likewise staying.

I'm warmed to learn you'll soon be homeward bound, wish you the best recovery, and know also you're daily in my thoughts.

As always, it'll be wonderful to again see your beaming face, send and receive live hugs. Until then, those in spirit are also rich!
love,
Marc
